The FLEX operator achieved five million manoeuvres in the durability test

TRELINEA doors have passed five million opening and closing cycles in the durability test!

Once the automatic door was delivered to the test area of the certifying body, the tests specified in UNE-EN 16361 were performed and successfully passed.

Every door, in order to be used as an emergency exit, must pass a series of tests including the durability test. The test consists of reaching 1 million manoeuvres, completing 4 opening and closing cycles per minute without maintenance.

The test carried out on our FLEX operator involved the door with a breakout system, two moving and two fixed leaves and a double motor.

The automation was mounted on a test bench and connected to an instrument that gives the opening and closing signals to the sliding leaves. In our case, the cycle is completed in 10 seconds, performing 6 manoeuvres per minute instead of the 4 required to pass the test, implying greater commitment and effort on the part of the motor and all the moving components.

Once the one million manoeuvres have been passed, a durability certification is issued according to the UNE-EN 16361 product standard, which establishes the requirements and test methods in relation to the safe use of automatic doors.

Once the certification was obtained, we left our door in operation continuously, reaching 5 million manoeuvres!

Thanks to the increase in opening and closing speed, we achieved this milestone in just 578 days from the start of the test, putting more strain on the automation but still demonstrating the durability and optimal functioning of our FLEX automatic door operator.

This milestone demonstrates the quality of the materials used to manufacture our products. The high level attained by TRELINEA automations is possible thanks to continuous training, an excellent team and the development of state-of-the-art technology.

We are very proud of the result we have achieved because it highlights the excellent quality of the product that meets the demands of all our customers.

Since then, we are continuing with the test to find out how many manoeuvres our automatic door can achieve!
